A highly prized delicacy in many Asian countries, the Green Dragon™ apple is named after the Chinese symbol for royalty. Most green apples are known for their tart kick, but this apple rivals the sweetness of popular red varieties. Hints of pineapple and pear flavors give this apple a refreshing twist. Its many fruit esters in the aroma make it one of the most fragrant apples available.

Grown and harvested in the Pacific Northwest, until now the Green Dragon™ apple was mainly exported to Asia. Green Dragon™ apples have a complex sweetness and very low acidity. While the lime green skin is dotted with very small brown freckles, the interior reveals a white, crisp-textured flesh that’s wonderful when eaten fresh. The crisp finish and aromatic nose is both enticing and satisfying.

Serving suggestions
Enjoy it alone, or add it to your favorite recipes. Slice and serve fresh in green salads or in fruit salads. Its firm, crisp texture and bruise-resistant skin are great for baking. Orders placed from August 10 through September 9 will be shipped fragrant Green Dragon™ apples in mid-September as the first fruit in a 3, 6 or 12 month fruit program.
